    כִּיבּוּשm. (כָּבַש) 1) conquest, dominion. Y.Hor.III, 48c top בכ׳ הארץ for the conquest of Palestine. Gitt.8b (ref. to Syria) כ׳ יחיד … כ׳ the conquest of an individual (David) is not called a (national) conquest (so as to give the land the sacred character of Palestine); ib. 47a, a. fr.(Gen.
